How to Patch

1. You need a clean, base ROM of "Pokémon Emerald (U)(TrashMan)". We cannot provide this file.
2. Download a patching tool like RomPatcher.js or NUPS.
3. Apply the "Emerald Crest" patch file you downloaded to the base ROM.

How do I patch the game? Please see the Download section above for a step-by-step guide and links to patching tools.

How do trade evolutions work? Visit the helpful man in Devon Corp. He will trade your Pokémon and then trade it right back to trigger its evolution.

My DexNav says the Pokémon 'got away'? To successfully sneak up on a Pokémon found with the DexNav, you must hold the 'A' button to walk slowly. Running will scare it away.

How can I find the new legendary Pokémon? First, capture Hoopa (a roaming encounter after the 5th badge). Once a day, it may open a portal to summon Ultra Beasts and other legendaries.

Where is the save button? Open the main menu, then press left or right on the D-Pad to navigate to the save screen option.
